Mark E. Hammons, Sr.
Founder and Partner
Mark attended undergraduate school at the University of Oklahoma and received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University in 1976. He served three terms as an Oklahoma state representative from 1972 to 1978. Mr. Hammons is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the Northern District of Texas, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the founder and President of the Oklahoma Employment Lawyers Association and the head of the Tenth Circuit affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He was appointed to serve on the Executive Board of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
Tamara has been an attorney since 1996. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1993 with a major in economics, a minor in philosophy, and emphasis in mathematics. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Gowens earned her Juris Doctor Degree in 1996. She spent three years practicing personal injury law from the plaintiff’s perspective prior to joining the Hammons firm in 1999, where she specializes in Civil Rights and Employment Law.
Amber received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in 2006. Ms. Hurst was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and the winner of the 2005 Fenelon Boesche Summer Write-On Competition Award. She is a member of the Oklahoma Employment Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. Ms. Hurst is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Oklahoma and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma.
Christine E. Coleman
Christine received her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University where she served as Student Ambassador, Academic Fellow, and President of the American Bar Association Student Division. She was also active in Phi Delta Phi and a honorary member of the Ruth Bader Ginsberg Inn of Court. Before embarking on her legal career, Ms. Coleman received her Bachelors of Business Administration and Marketing from Texas Tech University. While at Texas Tech, she was active in Kappa Alpha Theta, Alpha Kappa Psi, Student Government Association and Presidents Select University Ambassadors.
